HOW TIAM BEHDARVANDAN BUILT NORTH AMERICA’S EMERGING MOVING BRAND

Since its inception in 2010, Let’s Get Moving has been under the ultimate direction of its founder, Tiam Behdarvandan.

At only 19, Tiam established the moving company and blessed it with a unique name and eye-catching branding. As one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the moving business, he hoped to see his trucks all over Canada and then the United States.

Tiam’s inspired vision and commitment to understanding the business from the inside out served him well when building it. He established an award-winning team of over 500 people and expanded into Let’s Get Moving franchise offerings so others could live the dream, too.

Today, we operate across the country, and our service areas include more than 25 territories in the U.S.A., including our flagship branch in Phoenix, Arizona. We proudly stand as an award-winning moving company and have earned recognition through prestigious awards, including the Best Business Excellence Award, Top Choice Award, and International Franchise Association Member Award.

Meet the Founder – Tiam Behdarvandan

At 19, Tiam Behdarvandan became the youngest entrepreneur in the moving industry. He decided to give his business a unique name: “Let’s Get Moving,” which powerfully conveys the message that wherever our customers relocate, we are their guides, helping them move with expertise and care.

At first, the company transported household belongings from one location to another in Toronto. Later, it started providing comprehensive services, including packing possessions, furniture disassembly, specialty item moving, storage solutions, and junk removal across North America.

Tiam’s commitment to understanding every aspect of the business has fueled the company’s exponential growth. Today, Let’s Get Moving is North America’s thriving moving company, providing full-service moving services. Since 2010, our team has been recognized for its professionalism, integrity, and punctuality. We help Americans easily relocate their homes, businesses, apartments, and everything in between.

A modest beginning

We entered the moving industry with a vision for easy local moves that result in happy customers and word-of-mouth advertising.

2013

Competition was fierce, and we weren’t an immediate success, but our determination kept us going during those tough early years.

2015

Getting serious about our moving journey

CRM systems and business development programs became game-changers for efficiency and client interactions.

2018

Dedicating ourselves to customer service

We introduced a more robust customer support system that puts communication and customer satisfaction front and center.

2020

Adding over 30 trucks to our fleet

We grabbed the opportunity to expand our fleet to meet the increased demand for conscientious movers during the pandemic.

2021

Opening a corporate hub in Vancouver

We proudly opened a new corporate location in Vancouver, and with 2.5 million in first-year revenue, we set the stage for continued growth.

2022

Going coast-to-coast in Canada

We opened new Canadian locations in Hamilton, Ontario, Edmonton, Alberta; and Burnaby, British Columbia. These key Canadian cities solidified our presence as a national brand.

2023

Expanded to 85+ locations in just nine months

Our first franchise opened in Kingston, Canada, followed by Pompano Beach, Florida, and we quickly expanded to over 45+ locations in Canada and 40 in the United States, marking an unparalleled expansion.

2024

Opening even more locations in the United States

Thanks to many interested entrepreneurs, we are opening even more franchises across the United States this year, allowing us to hyperfocus on local moves in as many communities in this nation as possible.

2025

Opened More Locations in 4+ States and Podcast Launch

Broadened the business by opening new franchisees in Arizona, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, and Georgia. Let’s Get Moving successfully launched a podcast called “Move & Improve,” partnering with entrepreneurs from the moving industry.
